Henry is growing so much... I feel like every time I turn around he is able to reach higher and higher in the "untouchable" shelves, closets, cupboards, etc. Amongst all the growing we have found that one of his favorite things is water. Anything that has to do with water... I say, "Time for a bath, Henry" and he runs as fast as he can to his bedroom to grab a stuffed animal, shoe, or anything else that should not get wet and races into the bathroom to chuck it in the water. Then, he waits by the tub for me to get him ready. I love it! My favorite part of the bath time ritual is when he is done. He stands up and hands me each toy to dry off and put away.
We went on an Easter Egg Hunt for play group this week. Henry was so good, we practiced during General Conference so that he would know what to do. We hid empty eggs all around the front room while we watched conference, he loved it. During the actual egg hunt he squeezed an egg too hard and jelly beans popped out. Having never tasted candy, Henry looked at me with question and when he got the okay he shoved one into his mouth. This continued with about 4 more jelly beans. I thought that he was swallowing them because his cheeks seemed empty. After a while he started to gag a little so I put my hand at his chin, he reluctantly spit all the, now colorless, jelly beans into my hand.
We went to Kmart the other day and Henry saw the ball pin and was so excited. At first he just pulled out the balls one by one until he found his way inside.
That is hilarious! I never thought about actually getting into the ball thing. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI know, right. I guess Henry is a ball pin prodigy!
ReplyDeleteSo cute, Emily! I love the idea of an egg hunt during conference. I miss your stinkin' face!
